With support of Al-Badi Investment Group, out of concern for the revival of this authentic traditional sport and to highlight what the Omani citizens acquire from authentic Omani breeds ? alongside with the excellent skills of youth on camels with the audience excitement and cheering, the participation in this race was a large group of camels, about 250 from all villages and areas of the state. Those camels were characterized by the unique beauty and the nobility of their authentic descendants, which flowed on the field since seven o'clock in the morning to participate in this heritage festival. This event is under the auspices of His Excellency Dr. Khalid bin Salim al-Saidi, the General Secretary of the State Council and a number of honored members of the State Council, Excellency members of the Shura Council along with the elders and notables of the state and a large gathering of those who follow this sport and those interested in camel breeding. Sheikh Khamis bin Abdullah Al-Badi, the Group Chief Executive stressed the importance of this annual festival ? as it express our national identity and our history. Also, to what extent the Omani citizen is connected with the customs and inherent as the Omani individual have a special bond and ancient passion and making sure to raise and protect those breeds. Also, it is an opportunity for state camel trainers to increase the bonds and social communication between them ? noting that the special interest that the Group is giving and its eagerness to organize the race annually for the people of the state. As His Majesty Qaboos bin Said is encouraging citizens to protect this breed and to ensure the preservation of this ancient heritage.
