His Highness Sheikh Faisal bin Turki Al Said raised curtain for sixth annual festival of camel and horse race at Saham, in the presence of honorable members of the State Council, members of the Shura Council, members of the municipal council and dignitaries of Saham. The function was crowded with presence of huge spectators. The event hold annually by Al Badi Investments Holding Group LLC, combines mainly with the original breeds of camel in the state of Saham. The function started with traditional folk dance and music of Beduine. The race was delighted with the brutal beauty of local hybrid camels and horse .The race was highlighted by excitement, enthusiasm and competition between the participants, where the camel riders showed signs of their excellence and enthusiasm of holding halter and ring. Eng. Mohammed Khamis Al Badi (Member of the Shura Council from Wilayah) emphasized that, the ceremony is an attempt to keep the concept of heritage and national heritage, which is not limited to preserving castles, forts, monuments etc..., but also deals with the basis of moral heritage of customs and traditions which has to be transferred from generation to generation
